You're not alone
There’s a lot of mistakes people make trying to reach a new level of fitness or peak for a race. Two big ones are not having a plan--basically unstructured training--and doing a training program that isn’t the right one for them. A good coach fixes that.
It’s good to have a plan
Not just any plan, but one that is customized for you. Your coach considers everything that impacts your fitness--your challenges, goals, limitations--and gives you workouts designed to get the most benefit with the least amount of time and effort.
Each workout has a purpose. And there's a clear, realistic path towards your goal.
The problem is not lack of time, or willpower. The answer lies in training smarter, not harder.
Most of us are not paid athletes. We have jobs, partners, and obligations. Our free time is precious.
Unfortunately most people are not using their training time wisely. They are overtraining—pushing themselves on rides without enough recovery or rest. Or they are undertraining—wasting time on workouts that aren’t triggering adaptation. I know because I made a lot of these same mistakes.

Start training
We'll go over your new training plan together over the phone, and address any questions or concerns. You'll start your first week of workouts with a clear path forward. We'll set up a phone call, weekly, to check in and see if we need to make any adjustments.
